Meet The Team at Cool Garden

Hello and welcome to the Cool Garden website. We’re happy to have you with us. I am the head writer and organizer here. I’ve been a horticulturist for the last 25 years and I am pleased to be able to share my gardening knowledge with you.
My particular interest is in edibles, but I enjoy teaching people about caring for all manner of plants. Feel free to send through any questions you have, I’d love to hear from you.
Fawn Neun
Fawn Neun has loved to play in the mud since she can remember. After careers in the Air Force and the corporate world, she’s opted to return to playing in the mud. She revels in a slower life as a garden writer with a small backyard nursery on the Gulf Coast of Florida. There, she gardens, grows, writes, and tends to a small selection of chickens, rabbits, ducks, dogs, and family members. You can find her blog and online nursery at SouthernGarden.net.

Hey there I’m Mia, and I have been gardening for as long as I can remember. From beautiful blooms to growing your own veggies, I love it all. I hope to help more people know how fantastic it is to eat directly from their gardens. It’s empowering and so great for the planet.
My first real success was a herb garden planted out in a few little containers at our backdoor. Everyone has to start somewhere and herbs are the perfect way to start, they grow well with basic care and they provide delicious flavors for all types of meals. If you’re starting your gardening journey, I’d be happy to answer any of your questions, please just reach out.

Plants are life! For every plant I grow, I feel that I have achieved something good. I hope that you do too.
I am Dave Torres, and I like to focus on sustainable planting. I am especially interested in biodynamic gardening, organic gardening and permaculture. While you might know about organic gardening, biodynamics and permaculture are not so well-known.
Because it doesn’t use artificial fertilizers or pesticides, biodynamic gardening is similar to organic gardening. The difference is that this method is more about creating a bigger ecosystem. Instead of fighting against nature’s inherent rhythm, we gardeners focus on working with it.
In permaculture gardening, the aim is to create a self-sustaining system – we avoid tilling, herbicides, and synthetic fertilizers. Instead, creating a system of soil, plants, and insects that cooperate to maintain a healthy garden.

Hello Cool Garden fans, my name is Nellie and I’m from New Hampshire. I’m very proud to be working together with the team here and bringing you knowledge that I have learned throughout my gardening life.
I have always enjoyed mucking about with plants and love the feeling of getting my hands dirty with soil at any chance I get. The reward I get from gardening and what I see other people receive when they do so is one of life’s greatest pleasures.
While I love creating beautiful blooms, I also have an all-around knowledge of edible plants. I hope that I can help you to grow more. If you have any questions, please send me an email through this website and I will do my best to answer you. Happy gardening.
